Temple UniversityWeiss Hall

Description

Interior demo and fit-out in the basement of Weiss Hall in preparation for installation of a new MRI unit, manufactured by Siemens. The Scope of Work included new office/common areas, built with a mixture of drywall partitions and demountable office partitions, inclusive of new MEPFP distribution throughout the space. The new MRI room required the existing slab to be removed and replaced in whole with a thickened slab, as well as fabrication/installation of a RF shielded enclosure, and removal of a portion of the exterior wall to create and area away for rigging of the new MRI into the building. In addition to the basement renovation, the North and South Plazas along N. 13th Street and Cecil B Moore Avenue were completely replaced. New waterproofing systems were installed on the structural slabs, along with new precast stairs, site lights, stainless steel railings, elevated paver systems, rock curbs, and extensive/ultra-extensive green roof systems.
